Don't Be Cheap
By Don Maira
When you visit your local NYC strip club, try not to be too cheap. For instance, if you're sitting at the main stage, give the hard working performers a tip once and a while. Most of a NYC strip club dancer's income comes from private dances. They actually don't make a large percentage of their money on stage. A tip is a nice way to acknowledge the dancer's performance and a sign of appreciation. Although it looks like a dancer in a NYC strip club may make tons of cash, they're typically considered independent contractors and have to pay daily rent for the space they work in. Plus, it's insulting for a dancer to perform on stage and have someone sipping beer while enjoying a free show at the dancer's expense. So the next time you visit an NYC strip club, come with the notion that you're going spend a few bucks and have a great time.
